This event is one of the main European forums on the development of hydrogen as an energy vector, and brings together institutional representatives, leading companies in the sector, investors and technology centres to debate the advances, challenges and opportunities of hydrogen in Europe.
Carlos García will participate as a speaker in the panel discussion. "Hydrogen Projects in Spain: Leading the Way to Net-Zero Economies".The event will showcase leading national initiatives that are driving the transition to a carbon neutral economy.
On 11 June next, the XXV General Assembly of members of the Association of Spanish Energy Management Agencies (EnerAgen) in Granada in which the Asturian Energy Foundation will participate, as he is part of the board of directors as treasurer of the association.
On the same Thursday, the Director and the Head of New Developments at FAEN will attend the 16th EnerAgen 2025 Awards Ceremonywhich on this occasion is co-organised by the Andalusian Energy Agency.
These annual awards recognise public energy agencies and bodies for the best actions in the promotion and use of renewable energies and the efficient use of energy throughout the country.
Friday 12 June is scheduled to be held on 8th Meeting of Public Agencies and Bodies in the field of Energywhich this year will focus on local energy communities.
On 5 June, Carlos García, Director of the Asturian Energy Foundation (FAEN), will receive at FAEN's headquarters a Chilean delegation participating in the "Chile-Spain Collaboration on Socio-Ecological Just Transition" programme, organised by the Institute for Just Transition.
The visit is part of the process of elaboration of the National Strategy for a Just Socio-Ecological Transition (ENTSEJ) by the Ministry of Environment of Chile, whose draft was submitted to Public Consultation until 24 December 2024. In this context, the Chilean Delegation has established a bilateral collaboration channel with the ITJ to learn first-hand about the experiences, challenges and good practices applied by Spain in its own ecological transition process.
During the meeting, the work that FAEN is carrying out in Asturias in the field of Energy Transition will be presented, as well as the actions carried out by FAEN. Just Transition Observatory of Asturias (OTJA) in the region.
FAEN, in collaboration with the College of Naval Engineers, is organising a workshop on marine renewable energies aimed at children from the Keltikhé 635 Scout group. Throughout the day, participants will discover current offshore wind energy technologies by assembling models, which they will later install on the Poniente beach in Gijón.
