On 14 May, in the Maqua space in Avilés, the JHorizon #5 Innovative and Sustainable Industry" Conference organised by Conecta Industria, which will be opened by the Director of the Asturian Energy Foundation together with the Regional Minister for Ecological Transition, Nieves Roqueñí and the Mayoress of Avilés, Mariví Monteserín.

The Conference on Energy and Infrastructure in Asturias, organised by Compromiso Asturias XXI in collaboration with the Spanish Energy Club, the Gijón Chamber of Commerce and the Asturian Energy Foundation (FAEN), will be held on Tuesday 23 April at the Gijón Conference Centre.

The main purpose of this meeting is to provide a comprehensive vision both to the Asturian society as a whole and to the industrial sector, regarding the inherent impact of business projects, particularly in the field of renewable energies, as well as to highlight the key role played by the development of related infrastructures. Through different round tables, the aim is to examine how such projects and their related infrastructures can act as fundamental catalysts for the promotion of sustainability, progress and competitiveness in the Asturias region.

The Director of the Asturian Energy Foundation, Carlos García, will participate in one of the round tables to talk about the challenges and opportunities in the energy transition in the Asturian region.

The next 12 March, the Director of the Asturian Energy Foundation, Carlos García, together with the Director of Energy and Mining, Belarmina Díaz, intervene in the conference. Making Training a Reality for Quality Jobs in European Industries held in Zagreb (Croatia) to present the Regional Energy Transition Observatory of Asturias, and to explain how it contributes to ensuring workers' access to training with a view to achieving a Just Transition in one of the regions of Europe most affected by the green transition.

The day 5 March will be held on the premises of the Fundación Asturiana de la Energía, a special programme on Cadena Ser to coincide with the anniversary of the World Energy Efficiency DayThe Director of FAEN and the Director General of Mining and Energy will be there to talk about it.

In addition, this special programme will present the Community Transition Office, which will explain what it consists of, how they work and how they can help Energy Communities that want to set up, as well as members of the Regional Ministry of Ecological Transition, Industry and Economic Development to explain and inform about the steps to follow for the legalisation of installations and available aid, as well as a representative of an Energy Community already established to talk about their experience.

Next Monday, 4 March, will see the presentation of the DigiEcoQuarry Project at the Colegio de Ingenieros de Minas del Noroeste de España, and the Asturian Energy Foundation will be present at the presentation as a partner of the project.

DIGIECOQUARRY is an EU-funded project whose objective is to design, develop and validate a platform called Innovative Quarrying System (IQS) on 5 pilot sites. The IQS, consisting of sensors, processes and data capture and processing tools, will enable integrated, digital and real-time control of aggregate operations. The project is at an advanced stage of development, entering its final year of implementation.

On Wednesday 7 February in Tineo is held the Conference on investments in Tineo and the Southwest within the Fair Transition Agreement of the Southwest, organized by the Institute for Fair Transition. It will be attended by the Director of FAEN, Carlos García.
