I-NERGY aims to evolve, scale up and demonstrate innovative AI-as-a-Service (AIaaS) tool technology, AI energy analytics and digital twin services that will be validated over 9 pilots, which:

• It covers the entire energy value chain, ranging from optimised management of RES grid and non-grid assets, efficiency and reliability of grid operation, optimal risk assessment for energy efficiency investment planning, optimising the participation of local and virtual energy communities in flexibility and green energy markets.

• Deliver other energy and non-energy services to achieve synergies between energy (district heating, buildings) and non-energy products (i.e. e-mobility, personal safety/security, AAL) and with non-technical or low domain end-users (i.e. people).

The pilot in Asturias will consist of two actions:

• Application of AI to climate data to assess the effect of climate change on renewable energy resources in the region.

• Improvement of the regional energy certificate management system through the application of AI to achieve optimisation of its use and implementation of more effective energy efficiency measures.
