Data Cellar aims to promote a data platform in the energy sector to support the creation, development and management of Local Energy Communities (LECs) in the European Union. The platform aims to provide services and tools to the actors involved in the development of LECs for the implementation of their activities. The services and tools to be provided will be validated in 6 real LECs. One of the CELs is located in Asturias
The platform is developed with the following objectives in mind:
To have a platform with reliable, credible and continuously updated data.
Implement privacy and cybersecurity measures in accordance with security standards and national data protection and data management regulations.
Providing access to Artificial Intelligence models and energy data management services through the use of stored and exchanged data, thus facilitating the energy transition process.
Create and maintain an ecosystem for sharing data from Energy Community managers (electricity utilities, distributors, demand aggregators and Energy Community members) through an open platform.
Empowering a user-driven data economy.
FAEN acts as a representative of one of the six CELs that will be used as a pilot to validate the platform's services and tools. In this way, it will be responsible for reporting on the characteristics of the energy community, identifying its needs and monitoring the implementation of the platform's services and tools.
