Langreo leads one of the most ambitious energy and Just Transition initiatives in Europe thanks to the Ginnger Project.

In a remarkable effort to revitalise the municipality, Langreo has taken the lead in one of Europe's most ambitious energy and just transition initiatives. This innovative project aims to comprehensively transform the social, economic and environmental aspects of all neighbourhoods and parishes in the region.

The European Ginnger Project, of which FAEN is part, is committed to supporting this transition by involving stakeholders in working together towards sustainable development to foster the creation of energy efficient communities.

With this project, Langreo aims not only to become a model of sustainability at European level, but also to demonstrate that local communities, with the right support, can lead the way towards a greener and more equitable future.
