The Government of the Principality of Asturias promotes energy efficiency in the tourism sector with the collaboration of FAEN

The Government of the Principality of Asturias has launched an ambitious information campaign to help the tourism sector to benefit from subsidies for energy efficiency and circular economy. With an endowment of 11.2 million euros from the Next Generation EU fundsThese will be supported by the Asturian Energy Foundation (FAEN) as a collaborating entity, which will play a key role in advising and processing the projects.

Under the slogan "Less emissions. More savings for your business"The campaign aims not only to reduce the environmental impact of tourism in the region, but also to modernise the sector, improving its competitiveness. The grants are designed to facilitate the transition towards more sustainable practices by providing financial support for the implementation of energy efficient technologies and circular economy models.

In order to maximise participation, seven informative meetings have been organised, which will take place in different towns and cities in Asturias between 23 and 25 September. During these days, entrepreneurs will be able to solve all their doubts and receive personalised advice from FAEN's specialised technicians.

The grants will be open for application until 31 Decemberor until the available appropriation is exhausted. This initiative is part of the Government of Spain's Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Planwhich has among its priorities the modernisation of the tourism sector through the adoption of sustainable technologies and the improvement of its long-term competitiveness.

Each tourism establishment is eligible for a maximum grant of 300,000 euros, which can cover 100% of the investment needed to implement energy efficiency and sustainability improvements. The lines of support include:
