Through the new website website of the Just Transition Observatory of Asturias (OTJA)The "Energy, environment, employment and economy indicators" is available to the public. This tool serves not only as a dynamic information platform, but also as a meeting place to involve citizens in monitoring progress towards a decarbonised model.
The Principality of Asturias has shared some preliminary data reflecting progress in various aspects of the energy transition process. Emission reductions have reached a compliance rate of 59% in relation to the targets set for 2030. In terms of energy self-sufficiency, 65% has been achieved, while renewable energy already accounts for 32% of the region's energy mix. In addition, a reduction of 70% in primary energy use has been achieved.
The Just Transition Observatory website provides a clear and detailed overview of the progress made, allowing for continuous evaluation, revision of strategies where necessary and greater involvement in the Asturias decarbonisation process.
