The Directorate General for the 2030 Agenda is organising this conference on 9 and 10 May in Oviedo, with the aim of bringing the concept of energy communities closer to citizens and public administrations: what they are, what benefits they bring and how to implement them.
The sessions will start on Friday 9 May at 4.30 p.m. with the inaugural conference by the director of FAEN, Carlos Garciaentitled "Self-consumption, local energy communities".. His intervention will open the debate on the role of communities in the energy transition and will set the tone for a conference oriented towards action and knowledge sharing.
The conference will be followed by a round table discussion. "Energy communities: the difficulties of the pioneers".with the participation of representatives of Asturian projects and the organisation Unión Renovables.
On Saturday 10 May, the activities will continue in the morning from 10:15 a.m. onwards, with presentations by experts and the final workshop: "How to convince your neighbourhood that an energy community is a great idea"..
