FAEN will participate in the Kick-off Meeting of the European project. CLIMINVESTwhich will take place from 21st to 23rd May at Milan.
This new project, funded by the European Commission, brings together an international consortium of sustainability, investment and climate action experts to improve the cost-effectiveness of climate change adaptation solutions.
CLIMINVEST seeks to promote adaptation projects that are "bankable by design", i.e. that incorporate profitability and return on investment (RoI) criteria from their conception, thus facilitating their real and scalable implementation. To this end, practical tools will be developed and validated to help key actors - administrations, companies, investors and public managers - to design, evaluate and implement climate initiatives with a positive economic impact.
FAEN represents the Asturias region within the consortium and will lead the replication of the project results in an Asturian pilot. This pilot will focus on the design of climate change adaptation measures for energy and water infrastructures in rural environments, with the aim of reducing their vulnerability and increasing resilience in the management of these key resources.
